The media has been buzzing nonstop about the surprise engagement of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna. Although members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have remained quiet about the announcement, Tyga could not bite his tongue anymore. On Tuesday (Apr. 5) night, the rapper took to his Twitter account to respond to the news, as well as, fire back at social media trolls who used his son as a pawn in cruel memes.
Ten weeks after taking their relationship public, the 29-year-old youngest Kardashian popped the question to 27-year-old Chyna on Monday (Apr. 4) night, according to People. Chyna, whose real name Angela White, is cited as being a key supporter and influence in Rob's weight-loss journey. Chyna brough Rob out of hiding from social media, posting several photos and videos of the two enjoying each other's company.
Tyga shared his sentiments on the joyous occasion, proving he isn't harboring any negativity toward his baby mama Chyna or her new fiancé. Despite being happy for the couple, the 26-year-old Compton native is not okay with the attention their three-year-old son, King Cairo Stevenson, on the Internet.
"Everybody deserves 2 be happy," Tyga wrote on Twitter. "What some1 does for their happiness is not my concern, as long as it's not interfering wit my happiness. It makes me happy to see the mother of my son happy. My only concern in this situation is my son. I want him in happy environments."
Memes began surfacing on social media as soon as the engagement announcement was revealed. Jokes about Tyga becoming an uncle to his own son seemed to be the most popular image floating around Instagram, while a Photoshopped picture of Rob and Chyna walking down the aisle together carrying King Cairo with Tyga and Kylie Jenner behind them also made its way on several sites.
The proud father refused to see any humor in the posts. Tyga does not believe King Cairo deserved to have his name brought into the engagement conversation. He would have preferred the jokes to be strictly directed at him, because he's an innocent young child with no control of his parents' decisions.
"He's innocent in this. & I want him to feel as much love as possible," Tyga added. "Only an evil heart would direct negativity at a child & make fun of him for being in a situation that is out of his control."
