Mogul talk. DJ Khaled's We The Best Music has inked a deal with LA Reid's Epic Records that will encompass his music brand and an album Major Key that is slated for release later this year.

LA Reid first signed DJ Khaled and We The Best to Def Jam Recordings in 2008. He first released his debut album Listennn... the Album in 2006 through We The Best as an independent. He then established himself with platinum singles like "We Takin' Over," "Out Here Grindin" and "I'm So Hood," which led to his distribution deal with Def Jam in 2008.
"We The Best Music/Epic. Those two brands are synonymous with quality music. Iconic music. LA Reid was the first executive to give We The Best Music an opportunity to distribute my music on a grand scale. It is a very satisfying feeling to realign myself with someone who shares my vision of bringing fans the best music possible," said Khaled in a statement. The announcement comes just as DJ Khaled is more popular than ever. He has become Snapchat's first ever superstar, amassing over 6 million followers who hang on his every inspirational quote, Jet Ski rides and journeys on the pathway to more success.
