Gwen Stefani and Bush singer Gavin Rossdale have finally reached a divorce settlement, which has been difficult considering their lack of a prenuptial agreement. While Rossdale is legally entitled to a 50/50 split due to there being no pre-existing agreement of assets. He has agreed to an unequal split in the divorce so that Stefani can retain more of the funds accrued during their marriage.
46-year-old Stefani and 50-year-old Rossdale had been married for nearly 13 years and have three children together. According to a People source, the former couple will share joint custody of their three sons, 9-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Zuma and 2-year-old Apollo. The divorce settlement has already been filed in California and is waiting on a judge’s approval.
This past August, Stefani and Rossdale announced their split after a full 20 years together. It is rumored that the two split under claims of infidelity between Rossdale and their former nanny, Mindy Mann.
Stefani also recently opened up about the divorce in an interview with The New York Times, saying, “If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock. It’s a really good, juicy story.”
“I’m gonna die,” she said about how she felt after the divorce from Rossdale. “I am dead, actually. How do I save myself? What am I going to do? How do I not go down like this?”
She also opened up about her romance with Blake Shelton and how the two related, as he had also recently gone through a divorce with ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
He “had been going through literally the exact same thing in literally the exact same time frame,” she said. “Never in my wildest, craziest dreams would I ever have seen this coming.”
Stefani has also recently released a new album entitled This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which was released in late March.
