Calvin Harris was in a car accident this past Friday night (May 20) and was hospitalized in LA, but has rescheduled all of his dates.
The DJ, whose real name is Adam Wiles, reportedly had a laceration on his face as a result of the accident. But Wiles faired better than the other passenger, who ended up with a broken pelvis after they were thrown from the vehicle.
Harris was reportedly on his way to the airport in Los Angeles in his Cadillac SUV when a Volkswagen Beetle crashed into his car according to TMZ.
“Adam’s transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days,” a statement on the DJs Facebook page read according to Billboard.
Wiles had been slated to perform at Omnia nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas that night, and additionally canceled another set at Hangout Festival in Alabama on Saturday night.
His performance at the Las Vegas nightclub Hakkasan on this upcoming Thursday (May 26) is reportedly still in place and he will continue his DJ residency.
A released statement from a spokeswoman to NME read, “Adam was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has been advised to rest for a few days. He has since checked out of the hospital and is now recovering. We wish all the other passengers involved in the incident a fast recovery.”
Panic! At The Disco replaced Harris as headliners at Hangout Festival and reached out to the DJ following his accident, saying, “We wish all involved a speedy recovery and hope we do you proud, Calvin.”
