Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour may be NSFW, but someone deemed her appropriate for network television. On July 6, NBC will air a behind-the-scenes concert special featuring footage from the "Adore You" singer's current European trek.
According to The Orlando Sentinel, NBC will air a one-off special Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour on Sunday, July 6, at 9 p.m. The two-hour program will feature concert footage from Cyrus' concerts in Barcelona and Lisbon, giving Smilers unparalleled access behind-the-scenes of the bizarre live dates.
Cyrus performed in Barcelona and Lisbon on June 13 and 15, respectively.
"There are few recording artists with the global success achieved by Miley Cyrus," said Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC. "This unique special will offer an exclusive peek on how she engages with her crew and fans at one of her hugely popular concerts."
In addition to NBC's official announcement, Cyrus declared the television special in her own original way... an Instagram picture.
Featuring her own mug making goofy face superimposed on a child's body, the Bangerz Tour special promo features bears, American imagery and a few stars.
Cyrus' NBC special will take place on July 6, and it's not the first time recently that NBC has aired musical specials. In the last year alone, Arcade Fire and Coldplay have showed off their live material on the peacock network.
Meanwhile, Cyrus has wrapped up the European leg of her Bangerz Tour. She'll perform live next in the U.S. on Aug. 1 in Uniondale, New York as a part of her rescheduled tour dates.
