Lil Wayne has cancelled a nightclub performance at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas following his third seizure in two months. The seizure reportedly occurred just moments before the "How To Love" rapper was due to hit the stage for the pre-UFC 200 party.
His seizure was attributed to “medication issues” and according to TMZ was taken to the ICU and is recovering in Miami.
“Under the guidance of his own doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits,” a representative said for Weezy following the seizure. “He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes.”
This past June, Weezy suffered a seizure during a flight from Wisconsin to California and reportedly refused medical assistance. The plane made an emergency landing after he reportedly blacked out. E! Online reported that “the party refused treatment” and once he believed his condition was stable enough to continue, he rebounded the plane and suffered a second attack, which caused the plane to make another emergency landing in Omaha, Nebraska, and was brought to a local hospital by ambulance.
“We can confirm that he did experience two minor seizures yesterday, a rep from his camp confirmed to E at the time. “Under the guidance of his doctors, he is now in stable condition and spirits. He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes.”
Weezy has a long history of seizures and it was revealed to the public in 2013 that the rapper is epileptic. MTV News reported that during a Rap Fix Live 2013 interview that he exposed his condition, explaining that the seizures are random and that he has no memory of the events after they happen.
“No warning, no nothing, I don’t feel sick,” the rapper said. “…The bad news is I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures.”
