During her concert in France last Saturday, Rihanna told the audience members that she better not catch them playing Pokémon Go at her show. This happened just days after a fan went crazy after seeing a fellow concert goer playing the mobile game at Beyoncé's concert.
As part of her world tour for her album Anti, Rihanna performed at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille, France on July 23, according to E! Online. But aside from performing her hit songs, the singer expressed her annoyance at the Pokémon Go trend that's currently spreading in different parts of the world.
Thanks to the Internet and the countless videos posted online, the world is well aware of how distracting playing Pokémon Go can get, especially since the digital creatures from this game tend to appear almost anywhere.
For Rihanna though, she made sure that she was the center of attention during her concert last weekend by telling the audience members not to play the game.
"I don't want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends," she said as she paced back and forth onstage. "I don't want to see you catching any Pokémon's up in this b*itch."
But aside from artists, it seems the game is also becoming a problem for some fans, which is exactly what happened last week during Beyoncé's concert at the Stade de France. The fan, Anand Desai-Barocha, took a video of another concert goer who was standing right next to the stage. But instead of marveling at the "Love on Top" singer, the female fan was more focused on playing the hit mobile game, Billboard reported.
In the video, Desai-Barocha rants about the situation but quickly changes his mood after he gets a smile from the songstress.
