Bruce Springsteen Makes Directorial Debut With ‘Hunter Of Invisible Game’

New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen has done quite a bit during his time in the spotlight. In fact, his work could very well go down as being some of the best and most influential in rock history. But now, the Boss has decided to step out of the spotlight, strut behind the camera and sink into the director's chair with a new short film, Hunter of Invisible Game.

The musician directed the short alongside director Thom Zimny, who put together the live concert material for Springsteen's "Dream Baby Dream" and "High Hopes" videos.

Fans of the living legend have known that something has been in the works but were not quite in the know as to what it actually was. Springsteen posted a picture on his website that displayed the silhouette of a man with a hatchet earlier this month along with the words "Coming Soon." Naturally, this sparked some intense speculation of another album soon to be released –– despite his 2014 High Hopes release.

Obviously, fans never expected the picture to be a poster for an upcoming short film because he's never been known as a filmmaker.

Since being revealed, however, word of the Hunter of Invisible Game film quickly spread and is already igniting some rumors. Seeing as the film is named after a track of the same name off the latest album, it is currently being rumored to be a long-form music video. Of course, this is pure conjecture, so only time will tell.

Hunter Of Invisible Game is scheduled to be released next month. It will debut on the Springsteen's website on July 9 at 12p.m. EST.
