Despite recent contradicting reports of a quick engagement, followed by an even quicker marriage and separation between LeToya Luckett and Rob Hill Sr., a recent radio interview suggests otherwise -- that the two were never married and are not getting married. One thing is clear, their relationship is definitely over.
Ringing in the New Year was extra special for former Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett who said "yes" when relationship expert/published author Rob HIll Sr. asked for her hand in marriage back in January. According to BET, Hill referred to Luckett as his fiancee on New Year's Eve 2015 while giving a motivational speech all about love in Norfolk, VA.
Though the couple had dated for less than year, the amount of time played no factor in her decision to ultimately become Hill's wife and beloved -- which "...as a woman, or just as a human being -- everybody wants..," explained the VH1 Single Ladies star in the B. Real special, LeToya Luckett: The More I Give, The Better I Become.
According to Hill, who recently did an interview with radio show The Fam in the Morning only two weeks ago, the two still share a love for one another but only as friends and decided that they are not getting married.
"We're not getting married at this point because we understand each other, as friends, the right way," Hill explained in the 93.9 WKYS interview with Lil' Mo and Quicksilva.
Contradictory to his radio interview, TMZ has reported that the two didn't just call off their engagement, but filed official divorce documents, indicating that they were in fact married. (Confused??)
The site reported that an actual marriage happened between Hill and Luckett, not just an engagement, back in January of 2016. In an effort to keep the divorce and the intimate details of their marriage from getting "messy," TMZ reported that orders of the divorce included an unusual clause banning the two from engaging in social media postings, providing public statements, sharing any private videos, recording or documents involving one another to any media outlets.
TMZ stated that the divorce is now officially final which, if true, could be the reason why Hill completed his public radio interview two weeks ago, instead of addressing the breakup now.
After what Centric reported was a short-lived three-month engagement, the couple decided that marriage was not what was best for them and called it off.
