LeToya Luckett is making big waves in the television world and word is, there may be a Destiny's Child biopic in the works. During a recent interview, she spoke on the possible film and Season 4 of Single Ladies.
Earlier this year, former bandmate Beyoncé Knowles' father, Mathew, broke news of a film he proposed to Sony and there was also word of a Lifetime movie. Luckett, who was an original member of the chart-topping girl group, talked at length about the possibility of a Destiny's Child biopic with The Grio.
"I feel like there's so many versions of that story," she said. "You've got like five people in that situation. So I think that as long as something like that is done with respect, and it celebrates all of us and doesn't tear any of us down... That's fine. As long as it's done the right way."
Details remain airtight when it comes to the personal ongoings of Beyoncé and several aspects of Destiny's Child, an element that Luckett says makes people interested in the idea of the film.
"People love a secret, and people love finding out the secret. We're all very secretive, we're all very private about our private lives and that situation," Luckett added. "If a movie is done about it... okay. but I would want to celebrate all of us, because we were kids. You gotta tell that story in a certain way because you're dealing with kids. Some of us got in that group at 8 or 9-years-old. So... careful."
LeToya Luckett currently stars an a cut-throat music executive named Felicia on Centric's Single Ladies and she recently landed a principle role in the upcoming NBC pilot Love Is a Four Letter Word.
