If you've been patiently waiting for Frank Ocean's sophomore album Boys Don't Cry, well consider yourself just like most of his other Twitter followers who awoke this morning anticipating the album release that still hasn't happened as of yet. But, the delay has sparked some pretty hilarious twitter posts, videos and memes to keep the entertainment levels at an all time high, while we wait.
It's been four years since the release of 28-year-old Ocean's debut album Channel Orange and one year longer since he first hit the charts with his breakout single "Novacane" off his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra. Now, fans are anxiously awaiting the new album Boys Don't Cry which was supposed to drop on Friday, August 5, as reported by NY Times but, to no avail. At least not as of yet.
So, fans are waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Some have grown tired of the wait and are just over it all together, becoming more and more publicly frustrated by the delay due to all the hype surrounding Boys Don't Cry.
Billboard announced back in April that something was coming from the Long Beach born, New Orleans raised R&B artist, which could be an album, a magazine or both. According to the site, a rep for Ocean confirmed that both an album and publication were on the way in July 2016 but, here we are in August and - nothing.
Well, not "nothing" completely. The "Thinkin Bout You" singer did release a mysterious live stream video of some type of vacant warehouse with snippets of music playing in the background, that ultimately raised a questionable eyebrow for many as opposed to getting them revved up for the album, as reported by The Rap Up.
So what's really good with the album Frank (Ocean)? That's what these twitter followers wanted to know this morning when they awoke Friday morning and were saddened when still, nothing was available.
