A snippet of a reported Ariana Grande and Diplo collaboration has been released onto Snapchat. It can be assumed if the two are hanging out in a studio, they might be collaborating on music. They’ve worked together in the past on “All My Love” by Major Lazer.
The snap posted to a Twitter account that follows Grande gives almost nothing away aside from a few seconds of a beat, and a split second of her singing.
In other Ariana Grande social media news, the singer recently teamed up with Jimmy Fallon in order to create a Snapchat duet of her hit “Into You,” found on her latest album, Dangerous Woman. The video features the two lip syncing along to the song with all of the available Snapchat filters. The video begins with Grande sitting in her car with a grey moustache with Fallon singing the first line with a distorted face.
The video has been described as a somewhat high-tech version of the lip sync battle found on Fallon’s The Tonight Show. The lip sync battle is a more light-hearted version than what the pop singer released in May, which is largely sexed up scenes with Don Benjamin, a model and artist.
In other Grande news, she also recently accepted the role of Penny Singleton for the television remake of Hairspray by NBC. Grande described taking on the role as a dream come true and further said that she has been a fan of Hairspray since it was on Broadway.
The musical opened in 2002 and also inspired a film adaptation in 2007, where Amanda Bynes played Pingleton.
