French DJ David Guetta is experiencing some of the downside of being one of the most famous electronic acts in the world. A man wielding a knife reportedly broke into his large Ibiza home.
According to the Daily Mail, a man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into Guetta's mansion for a second time. Police say that the man was allegedly seen jumping over a boundary wall to access the property.
A worker told police that he spotted the man in the kitchen of Guetta's property. The worker also said that he saw the man throw a knife out of the window, though the weapon has not been found. Once he threw the knife out of the window, the man fled the area.
This is not the first time this man has gained unauthorized access to the home. The man tricked a maid into thinking he was a friend of Guetta's and was allowed into the house.
The man has been questioned by a judge in private and a restraining order is expected against him. He would not be allowed near Guetta, his home or his family.
Guetta has a home in Ibiza since he holds down a residency at the well-known club Pacha.
Guetta released his sixth artist album Listen in November 2014. The LP had features from the likes of John Legend, Ryan Tedder and Sia. He also had a strong partnership with UEFA, the soccer governing body in Europe, for the Euro 2016 tournament in France. He performed at the opening game and final, in addition to creating the tournament anthem titled "This One's For You."
