During Britney Spears' Pieces of Me show at Las Vegas on Wednesday, the pop star invited Arrow star Colton Haynes onstage to dance with her as she performed "Freakshow." Based on the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer's reaction after the performance, it seemed she failed to recognize who he really was.
According to Billboard, the incident happened after Spears sang her 2007 hit "Freakshow" from her Blackout album. As pointed out by the site, the singer has been known for picking someone from the audience when performing this song live. In her previous concerts, some of the celebrities who joined her onstage included Mario Lopez, Tyson Beckford and Nicole Richie.
During Wednesday's show, the lucky audience member that Spears chose was Haynes, who plays the character Roy Harper in The CW's Arrow television series. The actor happily obliged the pop star by joining her onstage to participate in her burlesque-themed routine for "Freakshow."
After the performance, Spears thanked Haynes for his participation. She also commended him for his good looks. Not knowing who was standing in front of her, Spears then asked Haynes what his name was.
"Thank you for getting up here and dancing with us," the singer told the actor during the show according to MTV. "You're so beautiful, what's your name?"
"Colton," the actor replied.
"Give it up for Colton, everyone," Spears told the crowd. "You're an amazing dancer, oh my goodness. Wow, call me anytime."
After the event, Haynes posted the video his friend took while he danced with Spears onstage. The actor did not mention anything about Spears failing to recognize him but he noted that he had fun performing with the artist.
