Team Janet Jackson Relaunch Petition With Video For Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction [WATCH]

Just about every music lover believes their favorite artist belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Janet Jackson fans are no different. Several of those fans have come together to re-launch a petition and creating a video demanding answers as to why she has only been nominated but, never inducted.

A petition was launched three years ago on change.org by Team Janet requesting fellow supporters to sign the petition to get "Janet Jackson inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where she deserves to be," read the 2013 petition. With a goal of one-thousand signatures to be delivered to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nomination Committee, the petition only garnered 500 and deemed unsuccessful.

Just one year later in 2014, an open letter was sent to the committee chairman, Joel Peresman, in response to the same cause, according to Prince.org.

"We'd like to strongly encourage you to nominate Janet Jackson during the next Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction cycle. Janet has been eligible since 2007 but is still waiting for her first nomination," wrote a member of the Induct Janet Into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame / Facebook team.

Fastforward to present day. Jackson did receive a nomination from the committee in October 2015, according to Variety but, has yet to be inducted so fans are not giving up.

A video has now surfaced of 100 fans, providing 100 Jackson career highlights indicating why they believe Jackson has earned her spot in the Hall of Fame.

"The release of Control is ranked at #12 by The Guardian as on of the 50 Key Events in the history of R&B and hip-hop music," stated one female fan in the video.

"With Rhythm Nation Janet Jackson is the only artist in history to achieve seven top 5 hits on the Billboard Hot 100s from one album - 4 of which hit number one," explained a male fan.
