The teaser for Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me has been released and Michel'le Toussaint has shown and proved just how unbothered she truly is by the prior threats of her ex-husband Suge Knight -- the singer is pressing forward with the filming of her Lifetime biopic, and is ready to tell all.
There must be something in her heart pushing Michel'le to move forward with her story -- despite the threats from her ex, who's currently sitting behind bars but still managed to threaten legal action against the Lifetime network if his image is misrepresented in any way in the forthcoming tv film.
But the show must and will go on and according to Billboard, that show will hit the small screen this fall to reveal all the juicy details of the "Something in My Heart" singer's relationships with Knight and producer Dr. Dre, formerly of the group N.W.A.
The 15-second teaser shows Toussaint physically removing the tape from her mouth marked "Parental Advisory Explicit Content" and symbolically lets fans know she will no longer keep quiet and is ready to reveal her truth -- the story that was left out of the hit film Straight Outta Compton.
As reported by Newsweek, the film did a great job telling the stories of the legendary hip hop group N.W.A. and its members -- Ice Cube, Eazy E, MC Ren, DJ Yella and others -- but what it failed to reveal was the alleged abusive behavior against women from Dr. Dre.
Toussaint and Dr. Dre were a couple for about six years and were together during the beginning stages of forming N.W.A., according to a 2015 Billboard report. However, that love story never made it into the movie's storyline and during a Vlad TV interview, the songstress explained why.
"I was just a quiet girlfriend who got beat up and told to sit down and shut up," explained the R&B Divas: Los Angeles singer during the Vlad TV interview, Billboard reported. She recounted several times where she received black eyes and other scars at the hands of Dr. Dre, but it was Knight who helped her remove herself from that bad situation.
Come this fall, the full story will finally be told.
