After getting victimized through a swatting prank, Lil Wayne posted a series of cryptic tweets over the weekend. This led his fans to believe that the "Lollipop" rapper might be thinking about retiring from the music industry.
On Sept. 3, the rapper shared a couple of tweets that made his fans question the status of his professional career. In one of the tweets, Lil Wayne noted that he felt "mentally defeated" and that he was done.

Based on the comments of users, many of Lil Wayne's fans thought that the rapper was already considering his retirement. After a few hours, he posted another tweet to reassure everyone that he's still doing fine.

Lil Wayne posted the tweets a day after members of the Miami Police Department responded to a call about an alleged shooting at the rapper's home in Miami Beach, Florida. Since no victims nor signs of a shooting were found on the scene, Local 10 News noted that the rapper may have been targeted in a swatting prank, a type of hoax in which an anonymous caller reports a false emergency to 911.
Despite the joke, Lil Wayne still thanked the law enforcers for always staying alert. The Miami PD responded to his tweet to commend him for his support.
