Following the announcement that Katy Perry has partnered with Global Brands Group, the "Roar" singer revealed the celebrities she looks up to due to their entrepreneurial success. According to the artist, she considers Rihanna, Beyoncé and Jessica Alba as her role models because of their achievements in their respective business ventures.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Perry has entered a joint venture with Global Brands Group to help develop a new line of fashionable footwear, according to the New York Business Journal. Although the pop star is not a stranger to the business industry, she still looks up to her fellow artists who were able to successfully combine their entrepreneurial projects and professional careers.
"Who do I admire? Probably who I'm following on Instagram," she told Women's Wear Daily. "I think Rihanna has done it well. She has such a great eye and ear and she definitely has that foresight. Her relationship with Puma and Dior and whatever is coming next, feels like she's a pusher of her industry."
"With Beyoncé and Rihanna it's very obvious they know what they are doing and you can see that they are micromanaging as well," Perry added. "They are multitaskers."
The singer also commended what Alba has done after co-founding The Honest Company, a retailer that provides non-toxic consumer goods. "I think Jessica Alba is pretty cool in the way she is doing her Honest brand because now we have an affordable choice for organic and [baby products] and everyone is having the conversation about health and what we are ingesting," she said.
Aside from these three, Perry also mentioned the make-up artists Charlotte Tilbury and Isamaya Ffrench due to their talent and impressive works.
