Meadows Festival has at last unveiled its 2016 set times. The inaugural edition of the new Founders Entertainment festival will get underway tomorrow, Oct. 1 at Citi Field. With the set times out, attendees can now start to plan their weekend now. Among the artists fans will have a chance to see include Chance The Rapper, J. Cole, Kygo, Kanye West, Grimes and The Weeknd.
There are four different stages, like Governors Ball, so that artists will have time to set up and the grounds aren't overcrowded. The first two sets are a half hour each and they get progressively longer to 45 minutes, one hour and then the headlining acts each night get one hour and 15 minutes.
Saturday has some conflicts across the board right from the get-go. For fans of one specific genre, they won't be tough, but for those who want to experience a lot of different acts, it will be tough. Bas and Miami Horror are two of our undercard picks and both play against each other at 1:15. Kamasi Washington and Yeasayer both play at 2:45. J. Cole and Pretty Lights draw very different crowds, but both are worth checking out.
Sunday has fewer conflicts. Jack Garratt goes against Pusha T at 2:45, which draws indie rock against hip-hop. Bryson Tiller will probably win the day against Metric.
Kygo has an hour and a half at 8, but his set goes up against Kanye West who has an hour and 45 minutes starting at 8:15. It is his makeup set from Governors Ball in June when he was rained out.
Music ends each night at 10 p.m. Pray to the rain gods that it doesn't come down too hard tomorrow and it is fine on Sunday. Find the complete set times on their website and on the app.
