Depeche Mode has announced the release of their new album, Spirit, slated for release in the spring of 2017. In addition to the new album, the "Personal Jesus" group has announced a 2017 world tour.
At a press conference in Milan on Oct. 11, the group divulged some details about the album and whom they worked with on the project.
"We're working on the album with a new team: it's produced by James Ford [of Simian Mobile Disco], and he's helped us to make what we feel is a very incredible sounding record," said Depeche Mode singer Dave Gahan.
The tour will kick off in Stockholm at Friends Arena on May 5 and over the next two and a half months; they will perform at arenas all across Europe. The tour will touch down in cities like Lille, Zurich, Rome, Moscow, Lisbon, Bratislava and Kiev.
Proceeds from the tour will benefit charity:water, which helps to bring clean, safe drinking water to those who don't have access to it.
Spirit will be Depeche Mode's 14th album overall and their first since 2013's Delta Machine.
