Without any warning, Ultra Music Festival announced its first phase of artists who will headline its 2017 festival yesterday. Among those slated to perform on the lineup in Miami at the end of March include Justice, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, Alesso, Carl Cox and many more.
Justice and Major Lazer lead the slate of announced live performers, but they will also be joined by The Prodigy, Underworld and Ice Cube, who has done a few EDM festivals before, most notably some of the Hard Events festivals.
In addition to the several live performers, Ultra Music Festival will be dominated by DJ acts of all varieties. The first phase comes with the big names headliners from across the dance music spectrum.
There will be the main stage heroes like Hardwell, Tiesto, Afrojack, David Guetta, Steve Aoki and Axwell / Ingrosso, while also titans of the underground such as Tale of Us, Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, Sasha & Digweed together again and Joseph Caprieti.
Other names included are Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin and Jamie Jones.
UMF has unveiled the seven stages where acts will perform over the three days in Miami this upcoming March. Festivities will take place on the main stage, the live stage, resistance, the new underground stage unveiled last year, A State of Trance led by Armin van Buuren, Ultra Worldwide, UMF Radio and Oasis, which appears to be something new.
Ultra Music Festival will take place from March 24-26 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami.
Tickets are on sale now. Plenty more acts will be announced in more phases over the coming weeks and months.
