Kendrick Lamar is slated to perform a show in New York on Friday (Dec. 16) that will be live streamed.
Lamar’s official Facebook page announced that the show will be at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn and begins at 9PM EST.
A small number of tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster beginning at 10AM ET today. Fans who are unable to get a ticket will be able to watch the livestream via Facebook Live on Lamar's and Amex's Facebook pages.
The gig in Brooklyn is the result of a relationship with American Express, and is just the latest to come out of it. Recently, Lamar appeared in an Amex commercial with NBA player Shaquille O'Neal for the "Shop Small" campaign. The commercial was part of a "Small Business Saturday" theme and aired in early November in preparation for the holidays.
He also appeared at the Amex "Music Meets Art" series during Miami event Art Basel.
Lamar has had an incredible 2016, and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for his latest project, Untitled, Unmastered. Lamar was also nominated 11 times for the 2016 Grammys and won five of these awards for his sophomore album, To Pimp A Butterfly, released in 2015.
The performance at Art Basel took place on Dec. 1 and Lamar performed some of his originals along with artist Shantell Martin doing a live sketch in the background. The two performed at the Faena Dome in South Beach Miami, and her work was projected throughout the space.
