Troy Ave Leaves Hospital After Being Shot On Christmas With Bullets Still In Body

It has been quite the holiday season for Troy Ave. The rapper was shot twice while driving with his girlfriend in Brooklyn on Christmas evening. He was able to make it to the hospital under his own power and last night (Dec. 26), he walked out of the hospital still with two bullets lodged in his body.

Troy Ave, real name Roland Collins, posted a video to his Instagram last night showing him walk out of the hospital escorted by police. He is in a sling and has bandages on his head.

"Shot in my head, shot in my back, GOD is Great Ya boi is back," Collins wrote to his fans. "From the bottom of my heart thank y'all 4 all the prayers."

He was shot in East Flatbush at 4:20 p.m. on Christmas Day according to police. Collins still has one bullet lodged in his head and another in his back according to his lawyer, John Stella, via the New York Daily News.

Collins was shot on Dec. 25 when a hooded gunman walked up to the driver's side of his Maserati and opened fire. A bullet grazed Troy Ave's head and another hit his arm. His girlfriend, who was also in the car, was not hurt. After the attack, Collins drove toward Brookdale Hospital six blocks away. He had to abandon the car and another driver took him the last bit to the hospital.

While Troy Ave was in the hospital, 50 Cent dropped in for a visit and reported that the rapper was in good shape.
