“This is Us” Season 2 will premiere in just a little over a month and fans are all excited about finally solving the mystery of Jack Pearson’s (Milo Ventimiglia) death. Series creator Dan Fogelman himself teased that fans should expect heavy storylines and the show’s biggest in story content.
Right off the “This is Us” Season 2 premiere episode to air on September 26, Mandy Moore, who plays Jack’s wife Rebecca, said a giant hint about what happened to Jack will be revealed. Fogelman confirmed that “a big, giant piece of the puzzle” will give fans all the answers that they need during the course of the new season according to Elle.
Aside from finally learning how Jack died, viewers will also know more about Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) tumultuous relationship with Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge). Fans will get to see more of William’s (Ron Cephas Jones) life before Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and his relationship with Jesse will be explored.
Also, Kate’s relationship with her mother will be delved deeper as she ventures in a music career. But, what will get fans surely excited is the news that they will get to see Jack’s dark side in “This is Us” Season 2.
Meanwhile, an emotional roller coaster will be experienced by Randall and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) as they try to move on after William’s devastating death last season. They will also have to decide on wether to adopt. This was the bombshell that Randall dropped on his wife last season. And “This is Us” Season 2 will explore the possibility of them adding another child in their family.
Former “That 70’s Show” Forman matriarch Debra Jo Rupp will play the social worker named Linda who will help them with their process. Fogelman confirmed that Rupp is slated to appear in multiple episodes reports Entertainment Weekly.
Another major news for “This is Us” Season 2 is the guest appearance of Sylvester Stallone. He will be playing himself and will appear as shooting a war movie with Kevin. Jack was a big Stallone fan which makes it a big deal for Kevin.
