A devastated Lady Gaga announced to fans that the Montreal leg of her "Joanne" World Tour last Monday won't push through. Making it up to her loyal fans, the "Poker Face" singer offers to buy pizza to those who are near her location.
Sharing the bad news via social media, Lady Gaga stated that they are postponing the event at the Bell Centre for that night. In the following post, the "Born This Way" songstress explained that she got sick during the New York leg of the tour, held at the City Field in Queens last August 29, Entertainment Tonight reported. Lady Gaga also added that she has been pushing through since then, referring to the Boston leg of the tour last September 1 and 2.
According to Billboard, Live Nation and Evenko have released a statement regarding the postponed event. In the statement, Lady Gaga was advised to move the event because of the respiratory infection and laryngitis the award-winning singer contracted. Purchased tickets for the show will not go to waste, however, as the event will be moved to a later date, and the same tickets would be used for it.
In an effort to show love to her fans, Lady Gaga does her best to cheer them up by sending free pizza. The offer was up to those who were outside of the Montreal hotel she was staying on that Monday evening.
Promoting her fifth studio album of the same name, the 59-show "Joanne" World Tour started in Vancouver last August 1 and is scheduled to continue until December 18. Aside from the US and Canada, Lady Gaga will also visit Brazil and some parts of Europe during the tour. Toronto is the next stop for the singer, performing at the Air Canada Centre on September 6 and 7.
