'Supernatural' Season 13: Sam & Dean Babysit Lucifer's Son; Differ On How To Deal With Him

The “Supernatural” Season 13 premiere titled “Lost & Found” will take off exactly where the previous season left off. The Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), are picking up the pieces after they lost of their mother. They will also have to deal with Crowley’s (Mark Sheppard) death and the heartbreaking demise of Castiel (Misha Collins).

The synopsis of episode 1 of “Supernatural” Season 13 likewise indicates that Sam and Dean will be left with different opinions on how to deal with the birth of Jack (Alexander Calvert) according to Cartermatt. Finally, after being dragged into the breach, Mary (Samantha Smith) will have to learn how to survive Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) and an apocalyptic world.

Aside from the synopsis, promo photos for the upcoming “Supernatural” Season 13, which premieres on October 12, were also released. In one, Dean and Sam can be seen babysitting Lucifer’s new born son, Jack. However, they will be dealing with a full-grown person (Alexander Calvert) and not a little baby.

EP Andrew Dabb revealed in an interview with TV Line that Lucifer’s son will be different from his father. He likened the son to a blank slate. As such, he needs the Winchester brothers to tell him what is right and wrong. However, Dabb also mentioned that the brothers are complicated characters and their past actions have not always been morally correct.

"How do Sam and Dean want to teach him during those lessons? Do they want to help him around certain mistakes that they had made?” the EP also stated. In “Supernatural” Season 13, Sam and Dean to a certain degree will act as parents. Needless to say, it’s a new thing for them.

Based on another promo photo, “Supernatural” Season 13 will also introduce two new characters, Lily (Erica Walter) and Conrad (Ish Morris). They seem to be trying to restrain Jack and Sam in what looked like a prison cell in the photo. No further details have been given regarding the two new characters.
