As previously announced, pop star JoJo will guest star on “Lethal Weapon” Season 2. More details have come out on her appearance which will be on episode 3 titled “Born to Run.” She will be playing a fictional pop diva, Shaye, who will meet Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) after she barely survives an attempt on her life.
According to the synopsis of the “Lethal Weapon” episode, Shaye’s bodyguard died a mysterious death and Riggs and Murtaugh were called to investigate. It turns out that Murtaugh’s daughter is a big fan of the singer and will be a big key in solving the case according to Cartermatt.
Meanwhile, the return of “Lethal Weapon” may finally give the answers to the questions from the last season finale. It left off with Murtaugh following Riggs to Mexico to kill those responsible for his wife’s death. Riggs pretty much forced his father-in-law, Delgado (Tony Plana), to tell the truth a out her death and confess his association with Tito Flores and the Cartel.
In the upcoming season of “Lethal Weapon,” viewers may finally learn whether Riggs will manage to nail Flores with his partner’s help. Murtaugh may even convince him to go home to LA to find a way to take down Flores and the cartel legally reports TV Fanatic. On the other hand, Murtaugh will help his buddy to adjust to the responsibilities that come with being in a relationship.
In other news, there will be a new recurring character when “Lethal Weapon” returns. Gina Santos (Michelle Hurd) will play the new police chief brought in to hopefully keep Riggs and Murtaugh in line. She will pretty much do what Captain Avery (Kevin Rahm) struggled to do last season.
Another character that has been confirmed to return is Leo Getz (Thomas Lennon). He was the ambulance chaser who found himself working with Riggs and Murtaugh when Agent Palmer became a target of the mob.
Besides JoJo, Adrian Pastar is another confirmed guest star in the season 2 of “Lethal Weapon.” He is said to play a grifter and will be a part of a father-daughter type of story.
