The four finalists for season 13 of The Voice were announced on Tuesday night, Dec. 12.
Chloe Kohanski and Red Marlow of Team Blake, Addison Agen of Team Adam, and Brooke Simpson of Team Miley are all going through to the finals.
After a nationwide vote based on solo performances from Monday night's episode, three The Voice hopefuls automatically went through to the finals after securing the most votes from America, while the bottom two — Keisha Renee and Davon Fleming — were given the boot, leaving singers in fourth, fifth, and sixth place — Adam Cunningham, Noah Mac, and Red Marlow — to battle it out for the instant save.
First of the finalists voted through was Kohanski, which marks Team Blake's 11th time to be included in the finals for the past 12 seasons. Then Agen grabbed the second spot, followed by Simpson coming in third. Team Miley wasn't included in last season's finals lineup, so this was a positive turning point. Perhaps her team could win this season.
Then Marlow closes the finals roster with a performance of "Dixieland Delight," the perfect song that's right in his wheelhouse and also gave him a chance for showmanship, as Marlow is more of an entertainer than a vocalist. He places fourth, with both Mac and Cunningham eliminated as a result.
In the end, all coaches placed an artist in the finals, save for Team Jennifer. This is the first time for Hudson to coach for The Voice, though earlier this year, she also had coaching duties on the UK version of the singing competition, in which her artist won.
So the finalists are as follows: Kohanski (Team Blake), Agen (Team Adam), Simpson (Team Miley), and Marlow (Team Blake).
Next week, Team Blake has a 50 percent chance of winning the top prize with both Marlow and Kohanski in the running. Team Blake has won five times in the entire run of The Voice, representing the most wins for a coach. Team Adam, meanwhile, has won three times. Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, and Usher have all won only once.
Season 13 of The Voice airs its finale next week, with performances and original songs from the four finalists. Who do you think will win? Who do you think deserves to win? Will this season mark Blake's sixth win overall? Or will it mark Team Adam's fourth victory? Will Team Miley finally win for once? As always, feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
