This is ... strange. It's been reported by TMZ that a man was arrested just last night after breaking into the home of Ted Kennedy Jr. at the famed Kennedy Compound ... looking for Katy Perry.
The trespasser, 53-year-old James Lacroix, allegedly entered the home in Hyannis Port in search for the "Firework" singer. When he couldn't find her, however, he hung around and cooked dinner in the presence of Kennedy's 16-year-old son.
All the while, it seems the intruder was calm –– even when Ted Kennedy Jr. (who was in Connecticut at the time) called in to check on his son. Lacroix answered the call, obviously panicking the father, who immediately alerted authorities.
The police say that after a few minutes of talking with Lacroix, it was obvious he was "detached from reality."
When authorities entered, Lacroix was seated on Kennedy's couch reading a book. He told them he entered the home through an unlocked door and said he had a gift for Katy Perry. Oh, and he was also there to see John F. Kennedy.
Needless to say, they arrested Lacroix outside the house and charged him with breaking and entering.
Perhaps his timing was off, because should he have entered the home in a couple of weeks, he could have been in attendance for the Cheryl Hines and Robert Kennedy Jr. wedding. Whether or not Katy Perry will be there is unknown to us.
