As far as Game of Thrones fans remember, Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, only has 13 names on her kill list. However, Williams added three more in a recent talk show appearance.
Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the HBO drama series, recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show and talked about her character's infamous kill list. The young actress revealed that fans she meets on the street usually have an odd request. They would ask her to recite the names on Arya's kill list but then add their name.
Norton could not resist asking Williams if she remembers the names by heart and requested that she recite them. The 20-year-old Bristol native admitted that she only remembers a few. Williams had no trouble reciting some of the names on Arya's kill list from Game of Thrones.
Speaking in character, Williams called out Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, The Mountain, Beric Dondarrion, Thoros of Myr, and the Red Woman or Melisandre. She surprised the audience when she added fellow show guests, Tom Hanks and Anthony Joshua. Williams startled The Post star on his seat beside her while Joshua merely smiled and pointed at himself. She added Graham Norton last, to which the show host responded with a loud "yey" and a clap.
"Please kill me," Norton jokingly asks Williams in the video below.
In the same interview, Williams gave a brief background on Arya's kill list in Game of Thrones. She revealed what prompted the young assassin to write down the names of those she hates and wants to murder.
"She has a list and she recites the names and she's been through a lot of trauma — a bit of backstory. It's what keeps her going and it's what keeps her fighting even though she's lost both of her parents," Williams says in a clip from her appearance on The Graham Norton Show.
Talking about Arya's kill list, there are only a few left alive and some died but not at her own hands. Joffrey died of poisoning courtesy of Olenna Tyrell and Jaimie killed the old woman in Season 7 of Game of Thrones. Melisandre is still alive, although she teased at her death when she told Varys that she has to die in Westeros (see video below). Meanwhile, the White Walkers' attack on The Wall in the Season 7 finale teased at Beric's demise. As for the Mountain, fans believe that he dies in the much-anticipated Cleganebowl.
