Ozzy Osbourne announces his final world tour. The 69-year-old singer also clarifies that he will not be retiring anytime soon.
Osbourne's No More Tours 2 will kick off this spring in the United States. He will also be performing in Mexico and Europe. Stone Sour will open for Osbourne starting this August in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The singer's final performance in the country will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada sometime in October.
Tickets for the North American leg of Osbourne's tour will go on sale on Feb. 17. No More Tours 2 is scheduled to wrap up in Europe in 2020.
The "Crazy Train" singer will also be joined by Zakk Wylde, his good friend and Black Sabbath guitarist, Blasko, his drummer, Tommy Clufetos and Adam Wakeman, his keyboardists. As of late, Osbourne still does not know which songs he will perform live for his fans, but he wants to include "Paranoid," "No More Tears," and more to his sets.
Ozzy Osbourne Will Not Retire
Even though the singer's final world tour appears to signify the end of his career, Osbourne explained that he will continue to perform. However, he will no longer be holding world tours that typically last for six months or more. He added that he wants to slow down a little bit so he could also spend time at home with his family.
"I enjoy being a grandfather. I don't want to go through another generation of Osbournes without seeing them grow up," said Osbourne.
Ozzy Osbourne's Projects
Osbourne also talked about his band Black Sabbath and said that the group has nothing to do with his upcoming shows. Osbourne was the vocalist of Black Sabbath, but his upcoming performances will solely be about him. As a result, Osbourne has more control over his shows, songs, guests, and more.
Osbourne will also be releasing a new album after his world tour wraps up, and the upcoming project will feature eight to nine songs. However, nothing has been finalized yet. Osbourne's main focus at the moment is his upcoming concerts.
"It's what I do. It's my job. And when I say, 'It's my job,' I mean it's a passion for me. It's the greatest love affair I ever had, being in a rock band and playing for the people who come to the shows," said Osbourne.
The "No More Tears" singer's Ozzfest will also continue this year. The event, which is handled by his wife Sharon Osbourne, is an annual festival tour in the United States and Europe featuring performances by heavy metal and hard rock musical groups.
