Taylor Swift has announced that her upcoming Reputation tour will bring Camila Cabello and Charli XCX to stadiums across North America.
Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Stadium Tour 2018
On Friday, March 2, the pop singer-songwriter posted a short video on her social media pages to announce the tour's opening acts.
"Hey guys, this is a reputation stadium tour update," the 28 said in the video. "I've been wanting to tell you this for a really long time, but the opening acts on the reputation Stadium Tour will be Charli XCX and Camila Cabello. I'm really excited, I hope you are too, and I can't wait to you, can't wait to see them."
Cabello, on Instagram, responded to the announcement, saying that she is excited to go on tour with Swift. She said she has been a fan of the "End Game" singer since she was a teen.
"[O]n every level, this is a dream come true," she wrote. "[A]s a fan, I'm going to be singing every song at the top of my lungs. [A]s a friend, it's a giant sleepover. [A]s the girl who had a Taylor Swift poster in her room when she was 14 and wanted SO BADLY to go to the speak now tour (distinctly remember my friends going to school the next day raving about it and me like [crying]), IT'S A Dream. [A]s the girl who would sing 'Hey Stephen' thinking of the boy in class who didn't know my name... it's. A. DREAM."
Meanwhile, Charli XCX says she is excited to go on tour with Swift and Cabello.
While fans will mainly go to the concert to see Swift perform her hit singles from her new album, both Cabello and Charli XCX are crowd-drawers.
Cabello recently released her eponymous debut solo album which spawned the hit single Havana, a track that reached the top spot of Billboard Hot 100.
Charli XCX has also been releasing chart-topping hits and has collaborated with other superstars such as Iggy Azalea, Icona Pop, and, more recently, Carly Rae Jepsen. She recently released a mixtape called Pop 2.
Swift released her new album in November last year and it topped the music charts right away. For her upcoming stadium tour, she is set to perform in several locations in North America, starting at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
The Reputation tour will also head to the United Kingdom and Ireland this coming summer.
Tickets are now available on Ticketmaster.
