Manic Street Preachers Joins Guns N’ Roses ‘Not In This Lifetime’ European Tour

Manic Street Preachers just announced that it would be joining Guns N' Roses in a series of shows in Europe.

The Not In This Lifetime tour will kick off this summer.

The Welsh rock band is a huge fan of Guns N' Roses. During a previous interview, the members said that they realized rock was not dead when they heard "Appetite for Destruction."

However, Manic Street Preachers will not be performing alongside Guns N' Roses on all of its shows. The group will only headline for the latter in Berlin, Odense, and Gelsenkirchen on June 3, 6, and 12, respectively.

The Welsh rock band is also scheduled to release its 13th album on April 13. Resistance Is Futile will serve as a follow up to the band's 2014 compilation Futurology.

James Dean Bradfield's Interview

Last year, James Dean Bradfield, Manic Street Preachers frontman, opened up about Resistance Is Futile.

"Nicky Wire, [bassist and lyricist] has given me some amazing lyrics that absolutely sum up the political situation that we've been talking about, and I've fallen back in love with the middle 8. I'm writing a lot of middle 8s. I would like to kick against the oblique, delineated, opaque groove that everybody is into. I'd like to rock again," said Bradfield.

As of late, Guns N' Roses has already released six studio albums. The band's first compilation, Appetite for Destruction, was released in 1987.
