Arcade Fire has announced new dates and venues as part of the "Everything Now Continued" Tour. The first show will be held this summer.
The news comes from the Canadian rock band's social media pages a few months after the North American leg of "Infinite Content" wrapped up in Toronto in November.
The tour will feature six non-festival shows in Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
Everything Now is the title of the band's fifth studio album that was released in July 2017 through Sonovox Records and Columbia Records.
The album peaked at the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart back in August 2017. It marks the band's third chart-topping record following The Suburbs (2010) and Reflektor (2013).
In addition, Arcade Fire will also perform as the musical guests on Saturday Night Live on March 17.
Arcade Fire 'Money + Love'
In addition, the band also released a double music video this week that combines the tracks "Put Your Money On Me" and "We Don't Deserve Love," both from Everything Now. A trailer was posted on YouTube on Monday, March 12.
David Wilson, the same man behind the music videos for Arctic Monkey's "Do I Wanna Know" and Tame Impala's "Mind Mischief," directed the upcoming music video. Wilson also co-wrote the short film with the band.
In "Money + Love," Arcade Fire stars as a group of artists who goes bankrupt. Academy Award-nominated actress Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense, Little Miss Sunshine) also stars as an evil record label president who seizes ownership of the band's every song. As a result, members of Arcade Fire steal money from the record label and run away until, one by one, they are caught.
By the end of the first song, "Put Your Money On Me," frontman Win Butler is the only person who remains.
"The concept of a double video really appealed to us, we'd always loved songs being put together as A and B sides... and these songs seemed perfect together," said the singer. "David has been a great collaborator for us since 'Reflektor' and we were finally able to work with Toni whom we'd been wanting to work with for some time."
The story continues with "We Don't Deserve Love." Alone with a bag of cash, Butler croons as he walks forward and empty road while his bandmates are forced to perform by the tyrannical record label.
The short film ends with Butler returning to join the rest of the band in their corporate prison.
