Neil Young shares his thoughts about retirement tours, saying that he does not think they are necessary.
During a recent interview, Young also seemingly dismissed the idea of retiring anytime soon.
"I'm going out with Cher. Cher and I are doing a retirement tour: 'Neil and Cher.' When I retire, people will know, because I'll be dead," said Young.
"They'll know, 'He's not coming back! He retired.' But I'm not gonna say, 'I'm not coming back.' What kind of b***s*** is that? I could go out and play if I felt like it, but I don't feel like it."
Neil Young Stars In 'Paradox'
Other than his music, Young is also busy preparing for the upcoming release of the film Paradox. Directed by Daryl Hannah, the film will be available on Netflix starting March 23. On the same day, the official soundtrack for Paradox will also be unveiled.
When asked what is his favorite moment from filming Paradox, Young said that he cannot think of a specific scene because they are all great.
"Some of the scenes that I did in the snow were fun. I had never been on a dogsled before. It seemed to come very naturally to me. Suddenly I'm on a dogsled and the dogs are going. I enjoyed that a lot and all the music scenes are great. I love the campfire scenes with the boys," said Young.
Neil Young Slams Google
Last month, Young also made headlines after he slammed Google for allegedly ripping off artists. In a lengthy post on his Neil Young Archives site, the 72-year-old musician accused Google of amassing wealth on music's back and not paying the artists.
"'Don't Be Evil.' That was GOOGLE's corporate motto as they directed users to pirate sites to get artists' creations and not pay!! Amazing tech breakthrough!! Meanwhile, they reap the bucks from ads people read while listening to music made by the artists," wrote Young.
He also said that Google just changed its motto to "Do The Right Thing" but it seems the company is not doing what is right for artists.
