This year's Made In America Festival might be right around the corner, but last year's rendition is stirring up a little bit of controversy today (July 22). A female fan is suing ASAP Mob member A$AP Rocky for slapping her so hard at last year's event that it caused her to fall to the ground and suffer injuries.
According to Rolling Stone, Lisamarie Wade is seeking damaged upwards of $75,000 from A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) for randomly hitting her last September as he made his way through the crowd at the Philadelphia festival.
She is seeking damages from Rocky, Live Nation, curators Jay Z Roc Nation, event organizers and security detail for civil assault and battery.
According to the lawsuit, Wade has been suffering from muscle spasms, migraines, intense pain in her shoulders and arms and fingers and "exacerbation of pre-existing conditions." TMZ reports that the injuries sustained from the Rocky incident are keeping her from enjoying time with her young child.
This isn't the first time Wade has reached out to sue Rocky. Last year, she filed a criminal report against the rapper, though she eventually had to drop the charges when she couldn't find him to serve him with the call to trial.
So now she's seeking monetary damages.
This isn't the first time Rocky has been accused of assaulting fans or those involved in his live shows. In June 2013, video surfaced of the rapper smacking a female fan at an Australian concert after she blew him an air kiss. He's also been arrested for fighting with a man at a New York department store and attacking a stagehand.
