Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Announces New Solo Album ‘Post Traumatic’, Previews 2 Tracks

Mike Shinoda, the pianist of Linkin Park, announces his new solo album Post Traumatic. Shinoda has also released the first two songs from his latest project.

Post Traumatic will feature a total of 16 songs, and "Crossing a Line" and "Nothing Makes Sense Anymore" have already been released. The official music videos for the two songs are now available via YouTube. Post Traumatic will be released on June 15.

Mike Shinoda Releases Statement

Prior to its release, Shinoda talked about his album and said that it is his journey out of grief and darkness. Post Traumatic also happens to be the first compilation that will be released following Chester Bennington's death.

"If people have been through something similar, I hope they feel less alone. If they haven't been through this, I hope they feel grateful," said Shinoda.

In January, the Linkin Park member also released a statement addressed to his fans.

"Amidst the chaos, I've started to feel an intense gratitude - for your tributes and messages of support, for the career you have allowed me to have, and for the simple opportunity to create," said Shinoda.

Who Is Linkin Park?

Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California, that was formed in 1996. It is made up of Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Mark Wakefield, Dave Farrell, Kyle Christener, Scott Koziol, and Ian Hornbeck.

The band rose to international fame following the release of its debut album Hybrid Theory in 2000. The band's second album Meteora was released in 2003. It also ranked at the top of the music charts.

Linkin Park's other albums are Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things, The Hunting Party, and One More Light. Some of the group's most famous songs are "Numb," "In the End," "New Divide," "Crawling," "Castle of Glass," "Heavy," "Burn It Down," "Break the Habit," "One Step Closer," "What I've Done," "Faint," "Somewhere I Belong," "Papercut," "Leave Out All the Rest," "Waiting for the End," "Battle Symphony," and more.

Chester Bennington's Death

Last year, the members of Linkin Park went through a terrible ordeal after Bennington died of an apparent suicide by hanging. Days later, the band released an open letter addressed to their good friend.

"Our hearts are broken. The shockwaves of grief and denial are still sweeping through our family as we come to grips with what has happened... You touched so many lives, maybe even more than you realized," wrote the members.
