Ellen DeGeneres announces the May sweeps lineup for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. BTS, Bono, Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes, Foo Fighters, and more will all guest on the talk show.
The K-pop band is set to wrap up the May sweeps month on May 25 with a performance of "Fake Love." The song is featured in the group's Love Yourself: Tear album.
In November 2017, BTS made its debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the members' interview with DeGeneres, they said that they are open to collaborating with more western artists. BTS previously teamed up with The Chainsmokers and Steve Aoki on "Best of Me" and "Mic Drop," respectively.
At the time, V said that he wants to work with Post Malone. He addressed the singer directly and asked him to please call him. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Malone reached out to V and BTS.
NSYNC Kicks Off May Sweeps Month On 'Ellen'
DeGeneres's May sweeps month already kicked off on May 1 with Justin Timberlake and NSYNC's appearance. News on the group's guest appearance came just a day after the members received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On Tuesday, DeGeneres spoke with Timberlake for a few minutes before the "Man of the Woods" singer called the other members of the group to join him in the studio.
May Sweeps Month Guests
On Thursday, May 3, Leon Bridges will perform "Bad Bad News" on the show. The track is off of his upcoming Good Things album. Bridges is known for contributing a song on the soundtrack of Big Little Lies called "River."
Adam Levine and Maroon 5 will also be gracing The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 7. The band will perform its hit song "Wait." A day later, Panic! At the Disco will take over the stage and perform "Say Amen (Saturday Night)." On May 11, Foo Fighters will sing "Concrete and Gold."
On May 15, U2's Bono and The Edge will talk about their U2 Experience + Innocence tour with the host. Bono will also play a song on Tuesday, but the title has not yet been announced.
On Wednesday, May 16, James Bay will play "Pink Lemonade," and Mendes will sing his hit song "In My Blood" on May 17. Maren Morris & Zedd will sing their hit song, "The Middle," live for the second time on the show on May 22.
