It's official - Chris Young has gone all the way to #1 for the 6th time in his career. "Who I Am With You" is sitting at the very top of the Mediabase Country Singles chart and it's already been certified RIAA Gold.
The ballad was co-written by Marv Green, Paul Jenkins and Jason Sellers - all hitmakers.
- Green wrote Carrie Underwood's "Wasted" and Lonestar's "Amazed"
- Jenkins and Sellers wrote the Jason Aldean / Kelly Clarkson duet, "Don't You Wanna Stay" and Thompson Square's "If I Didn't Have You."
"Who I Am With You" is about love and how it changes people - turning them into better people. It is the second single from Young’s latest album, A.M. The project’s first single, "Aw Naw," made it to the Top 5 and was also certified Gold.
From the song ...
Who I am with you is who I really want to be
You’re so good for me
And when I’m holdin’ you, it feels like I’ve got the world in my hands
Yeah, a better man is who I am with you
