Rapper 21 Savage had to pull out his gun in order to scare off gatecrashers during an annual rager in Atlanta on Saturday, June 10.
The incident took place during a pool party, called Big A** Pool Party, where the 25-year-old was hanging out with friends.
21 Savage Brandishes Gun
According to TMZ, a large group of uninvited people unexpectedly appeared at the party, apparently entering from the back of the venue. 21 Savage and other guests understandably grew tense because of the presence of the gatecrashers.
However, the tension aggravated when one of the uninvited guests said hello to one of the rapper's female friends. Things heated up and one of the gatecrashers pulled out a gun when confronted. As a response, the Issa Album rapper had to arm himself, too.
The publication clarifies that the firearm was handed to him when the gatecrashers became more aggressive. No shots were fired and the party was shut down as soon as the police were called to intervene that day.
TMZ was able to obtain a video of the altercation last weekend. As shown in the said footage below, 21 Savage can be seen arriving at the party and then holding a gun as a brawl breaks out.
21 Savage Reveals Why He Stopped Buying Jewelry
The report arrives a few days after he talked about his lifestyle change now that he is older and wiser. In a conversation with Vogue, before heading to the Spring/Summer show of Saint Laurent this year, he said that he has stopped wasting money on diamond-encrusted accessories.
"I stopped wearing jewelry for a couple of reasons: I outgrew it; I'm getting a little wiser and growing," he shared. "Another reason is that the richest people that I've ever met in my life, they've never had on jewelry."
This is in line with what his manager said in February on Twitter. Apparently, the young MC wanted to be a good influence on aspiring rappers and young fans.
21 Savage Urges Fellow Rappers To Stop Hip-Hop Beef
21 Savage, who goes by Sant Lauren Don on Twitter, is also urging fellow rappers to unite and stop the drama. In line with his move, It is not clear whom he exactly referred to, but there has been ongoing beef among artists in the past couple of months.
Pusha T and Drake, for example, have exchanged diss tracks in the past couple of weeks. A few days ago, meanwhile, Chief Keef was nearly shot by two unidentified men in New York City and the rapper blamed the incident on his altercation with Tekashi 6ix9ine.
