Lost Lake Festival organizers have decided to cancel the festival in Phoenix, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 19 to 21 at the Steele Indian School Park. Sources reveal that the show was canceled due to low ticket sales.
Two months ago, festival organizers announced the lineup for the 2018 Lost Lake Festival. They confirmed that SZA, The Chainsmokers, Third Eye Blind, Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, Nas, and more will be taking the stage.
Other than the artists who will perform at the Lost Lake Festival, the organizer has also booked a wide range of restaurants and breweries to sell their products at the music event.
Ticket Refund
Tickets for the Lost Lake Festival sold on April 26 were released on a three-tier system. This means that once the first batch of tickets is sold out, the second and third batches of tickets will be sold at a higher price.
Since the festival is already canceled, those who purchased their tickets will receive a full refund until the end of June. A lengthy statement from the festival organizers has also been uploaded via Twitter.
Fans React To Cancelation
Following the cancelation, several music fans expressed their disappointment over the organizers' decision to ax the show this year. One fan said that it is such a shame that the Lost Lake Festival is being canceled but it's not surprising because of its "poor lineup."
Several fans said that last year's show was so amazing, that is why they are shocked to learn that the festival this year will no longer push through.
"Last year was so awesome. It is salvageable at all? Maybe we can get volunteers to handout fliers and double up on promoting or do something. This festival has so much potential," wrote one fan.
"Last year was amazing and frankly this year would have been a slap in the face. Went out with a bang. Thanks for the awesome memories of 2017," wrote another fan.
