Teyana Taylor Drops New Album 'Keep The Same Energy'

Teyana Taylor drops her new album Keep The Same Energy. The rapper became the fourth artist that Kanye West collaborated within the past five weeks.

Taylor hosted a live listening party which was broadcasted via her Twitter account on Friday, June 22. Taylor signed with West's Def Jam record label in 2012. Prior to this, she made an appearance on West's 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. She also sang "Christmas In Harlem" that same year.

On the day of its release, West's wife, Kim Kardashian, revealed that her husband finished Taylor's entire album while they were on the plane back to Los Angeles from Paris. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also gushed over the album and said that it is really good.

Album Tracklists

The songs featured in Keep The Same Energy are "No Manners," "Gonna Love Me," "Issues/Hold On," "Hurry" (feat. West), "3 Ways" (feat. Ty Dolla $ign), "Rose In Harlem," "Never Would Have Made It," and "WPT" (feat. Mykki Blanco).

West has vowed to release one seven-track album each week for five weeks. After dropping ye last month, he released Pusha-T's compilation DAYTONA. The album was followed by Kid Cudi's project Kids See Ghosts and Nas' Nasir.

DAYTONA features the songs "If You Know You Know," "The Games We Play," "Hard Piano" (feat. Rick Ross), "Come Back Baby," "Santeria," "What Would Meek Do? (feat. West), and "Infrared."

The tracks in Kids See Ghosts are "Feel The Love," "4th Dimension," "Freee," "Kids See Ghosts," "Fire" and "Reborn." The tracks in Nasir are "Not For Radio," "Cops Shot the Kid," "White Label," "Bonjour," "everything," "Adam and Eve," and "Simple Things."

Taylor wrapped up West's plan to release five different albums in five weeks. The singer's first compilation under Dej Jam was released in 2014. Her other albums are From A Planet Called Harlem, The Cassette Tape 1994, and The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor.

Taylor is an American recording artist, actress, dancer, and model from Harlem. Before signing with West, Taylor first sealed a deal with Pharrell Williams' Star Trak Entertainment imprint.
