Ben Stiller’s High School Band To Reissue 1982 Debut Album

Ben Stiller's high school band is planning on reissuing its 1982 debut album Roadkill. Before becoming an actor, Stiller was part of the punk group Capital Punishment.

In 2015, Stiller announced the upcoming release of Roadkill, but it took him and his former bandmates three years to actually make the record available. The album will be released on Sept. 14. Preorders are now available via the Captured Tracks website.

Other details about Roadkill are still being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that it will feature two bonus tracks that were recorded by Capital Punishment in 1979 and 1983. Ahead of the album's release, the band also dropped its lead single "Muzak Anonymous."

Roadkill has been described as a home-spun, DIY post-punk type of music. Capital Punishment is made up of Stiller, Kriss Roebling, Peter Swann, and Peter Zusi.

Ben Stiller Confirms Reissue

Three years ago, Stiller appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where he talked about the reissue of Roadkill.

"What happened was that some outsider music label, which I didn't know those existed, but people who are just into weird music; I guess it's been found and they asked us if they could re-release it. They're called Captured Tracks. They're a real company," said Stiller.
