Tekashi 6ix9ine was reportedly attacked, robbed, and kidnapped by three unidentified men early morning on Sunday, July 22, in Brooklyn.
He was rushed to the hospital shortly after the incident.
Rapper 6ix9ine Attacked In Brooklyn
According to an earlier report by TMZ, the 22-year-old was driving home following a music video shoot at around 4 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up and blocked his way. Three armed men got out of the car and whipped 6ix9ine with a pistol, rendering him unconscious.
A few moments later, the "Gummo" rapper woke up on the back seat of the moving vehicle where the armed men demanded that he surrender money and jewelry. They threatened to kill him if he does not do what they wanted.
6ix9ine was reportedly brought into his own home where two of the men made their way inside. They were able to take around $750,000 worth of jewelry and up to $20,000 in cash.
The rapper's partner and their daughter reportedly were inside the home when the armed men robbed the property. Neither mother nor daughter was reportedly hurt.
After the men were able to steal thousands worth of valuables and cash, they drove away with 6ix9ine still inside the vehicle. At some point, the "TATI" rapper was able to escape and jumped inside the passenger seat of another vehicle. A stranger was able to phone 911, and the hip-hop star was brought to the hospital.
TMZ adds that 6ix9ine is still currently undergoing several tests, including a CT Scan.
6ix9ine Tells A Different Story
Another report by the Associated Press claims that 6ix9ine recounted a slightly different story to the New York Police Department. The controversial rapper told the cops that he was on the passenger seat of a car when another vehicle rammed him in the early morning of Sunday at an intersection in New York.
Two men got out of the vehicle and dragged him into their car. They also forced him to call another person who brought personal property, including jewelry, to the scene of the crime. The men reportedly took the items and drove off.
The cops added that Brooklyn rapper became uncooperative after filing the report of the robbery.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested last week in New York for trying to leave the country for a concert in Europe. He has a pending case in Houston, Texas, where a 16-year-old boy accused him of choking in a mall back in January. He was locked behind bars but was allowed to post bail two days after his arrest.
On Sunday, he also released a remixed version of the track "FeFe" featuring Nicki Minaj.
