Jackson Browne, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, is positive with the coronavirus. He disclosed in an interview with Rolling Stone. He becomes the latest celebrity to be infected with Covid-19.
The 71-year- old singer-songwriter said he asked to be tested when he began feeling ill with cough and fever in recent weeks. Browne is currently under self-quarantine at his Los Angeles Home for his recovery. He shared that his symptoms are mild, that will not require him to take medications or to be hospitalized.

Browne is not certain as to how he contracted the disease but believes it may have bee during his recent trip to New York City. He joined the Love Rocks NYC annual benefit, where Cyndi Lauper, Dave Matthews, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi, and Derek Trucks also participated.
In the interview, he said he believes that many could have acquired the disease, but they will not get tested. He further warned the younger generation that they might have it even if they have no symptoms. He is afraid this is the way to pass it on without them knowing. The Hall of Famer reminded them to cooperate in stopping to spread the disease. He emphasized the need to take it seriously as he thinks the young people feel they are less vulnerable to be infected with it. He called on them to understand that everybody should be a part of a global response to the crisis.
"You have to assume you have it", Browne suggested. He immediately did practice quarantine when he started feeling sick. During his self-isolation, he had been checking on people he knows, asking whether they are experiencing symptoms.
The singer revealed that some of those involved in the show have also contracted the coronavirus. He expressed regret for coming back and forth to New York City to do the show. Browne told the Rolling Stone that he had played with that thought beforehand.
Ten days into his self-quarantine, the singer spent away his time calling friends and family. He was quoted saying, "when you calm down and start thinking about other people and their vulnerabilities." He reflected that this is the time to catch up with his friends through great conversations. He occupied himself by listening to music and watching shows. He also spent lots of time reading, including medical bulletins and stories, which he finds are good sources of information.
Rolling Stone commended him for coming out with his condition. Browne responded that sharing his experience will be helpful to others. Though he thought his case is not critical, he wanted to let others know that some do not get it as bad. He expresses optimism that some can get through it and can assist others.

His official website shows that he wrote and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music. He has released 14 studio albums and four collections of live shows. His first album had its debut in 1972.
Some of his famous songs are "Before the Deluge" (1974), "You Love the Thunder" (1977), and "Here Come Those Tears Again" (1976), among others. He has sold 18 million albums in the U.S.. He is set to launch a new studio album in October 2020.
Browne is also known as an advocate for human rights, the environment, and arts education.
