Hip-hop's Freddy and Jason Both rappers have previously collaborated on the 2017 album "Friday on Elm Street." The album title was taken from classic horror films "Friday the 13th" and "Nightmare on Elm Street." The movies featured pop culture icons Jason Vorhees and Freddy Krueger, respectively.
In a 2017 interview with HipHopDX , Fab described the inspiration behind the album. "There's a lot of comparisons when you want to compare two things, but that was one of the ones we were looking at with Freddy vs. Jason. When it came to villains, they were always the two that were brought up."

The hit hip-hop album featured their collaborative tracks, which include "Respect It," "B.E.T," and "The Hope."
