Raphine, Virginia - Imagine the surprise of fans when they spotted Country Pop R&B singer Kane Brown at White's Travel Center last Thursday morning.
Even while wearing a mask for safety against COVID-19, people still recognized the "Heaven" singer while making a pit stop in Interstate 81, Raphine, Virginia.
A Subway employee, Angie Graves, took the rare opportunity and requested a selfie with the Country R&B songwriter. She mentioned that Brown was "super cool" about it.
Angie's selfie with Brown was uploaded on the official Facebook page of White's Travel Center. The post has 644 reactions, 135 comments, and 467 shares as of this writing.
Additionally, Brown offered to sign an autograph for the fan. He wrote it on a Subway sandwhich paper, using a red-ink sharpie. Above his autograph was the message: "To: Hailey," probably another fan.
Mellyora Mason, Director of Marketing for White's Travel Center, said that Brown was "very kind and gracious" to grant a fan's request. She added mentioned that the center location of the travel center makes it the usual place for celebrities to drop by. Vince Gil, Whoopi Goldberg, Junior Samples, Marty Stuart, and Aaron Tippin are few of the many celebrities who make their way there.
Many travelers are bound to make their way into the I-81 branch because the place is between New York and Florida.
As for Brown, he just released his second single "Be Like That," featuring Swae Lee and Khalid last July 2020. A month prior to this, he released a song titled "Worldwide Beautiful," and it aims to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of America. It reached number 3 on the Billboard charts.
Most of the Country Pop singer's tracks made it to the top spot on the Billboard charts consistently. "Heaven," "Lost It," "Good As You," and "Homesick" all peaked number one.
Collaborative efforts "What Ifs" and "One Thing Right" also made it to the Billboard number one spots. The former featured American Idol and school friend Lauren Alaina while the latter was a collaboration with Marshmello.
