Britney Spears' new lawyer Matthew Rosengart makes a powerful promise to free the pop star from her 13-year-long conservatorship.

In a statement released outside Stanley Mosk Courthouse in LA on Monday, Rosengart said, "My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously to file a petition to remove Jamie Spears unless he resigns first."

Rosengart was granted to represent of the "Womanizer" singer last week and reveals that the top priority is to remove Jamie as the conservator of his daughter's estate.

Even the Grammy-winning performer vowed last week that her goal is to "get rid of my dad" as conservator and went on to say she wanted to charge him with "conservator abuse."

The lawyer is also promising to file the relevant paperwork next week to push for an end to the controversial conservatorship.

Meanwhile, Jamie Spears' attorney Vivian Thoreen, revealed last week that there had been many "misstatements" in the "Toxic" singer's testimonies.

Monday's hearing includes arguments about a money dispute between Jamie Spears and Britney's legal personal guardian, Jodi Montgomery.

Jodi was set to argue that she needs $50,000 monthly for security detail because she has been getting death threats since June when Britney Spears finally launched her court push to be free from the constricted conservatorship.

However, Jodi isn't the only one getting death threats, as Jamie has also revealed that he and other people connected with the case also got these death threats.

Jamie also believes it would be impossible to provide a level of security for those who have been getting these threats, so, he said that should Jodi want security detail, she should pay for it herself.

Since Britney's past testimonies, her long-time court-appointed lawyer has resigned, as well as her manager of more than 20 years.

Is Britney Spears Engaged?

In other Britney Spears news, the mother-of-two has been spotted wearing what seems to be a diamond ring on her engagement finger.

The "Baby One More Time" singer has been dating boyfriend Sam Asghari since 2016 and has been actively and publicly supporting the #FreeBritney campaign.

On Sunday, the Daily Mail shared pics of the singer and the fitness trainer where Britney's ring finger had a sparkler on it.

She also looked happier, utterly different to last week where she was crying as she told the Los Angeles court she wanted her father charged with conservatorship abuse.
