Where could Champagne Papi be?
Even though Gunna has released the last edition of his Drip Season recordings, the anticipated Drake feature is nowhere to be found on all streaming platforms the album was launched.
Launched yesterday, Gunna's "DS4EVER" released only 19 tracks, missing the Drizzy collab. On the day before the release, Gunna posted on Instagram the tracklist of the album, including "Pussy Power", featuring OVO Rapper Drake.
As to why it was pulled out, the 28-year old rapper has not provided his fans any reason why the anticipated collaboration was removed from all streaming platforms it was launched into.
This may have more to do with Drizzy than with Gunna, considering Drake's appearance on French Montana's project was also deleted from the album in November.
Drake pulling out tracks
The song "Splash Brothers" was recorded for French's "They Got Amnesia" album. However, it was also withdrawn from the album before being released.
Drizzy believed it would be inappropriate to release new music following the tragedy at the Astroworld Festival, according to "sources with firsthand information" at TMZ.
The OVO rapper made a surprise performance with Travis Scott at the infamous Astroworld Festival in Houston last November. The jam-packed festival had a crowd surge leaving eight dead and a hundred injured.
Last year, it was revealed that Drake would appear on Trippie Redd's fourth studio album, "Trip At Knight". While his song, 'Betrayal,' did not feature on the album's first release, the song did surface on a later edition. Notably, the release of "Betrayal" reignited drake's feud with Kanye West, launched in August.
Despite missing a track, the album launch was a success as it topped Apple Music Charts and social media conversation.
Drip Season Forever
With massive collaborations with Kodak Black, Tyler the Creator, Chlöe, Chris Brown, Future, Young Thug, 21 Savage, and Lil Baby, "DS4EVER" was definitely a hit.
"DS4EVER" occupies eight spots at the Top 10 of Apple Music's Top 100 Global charts, with "pushin P" collab with Young Thug at the No. 1 spot.
Overshadowing The Weeknd's release of the anticipated album "Dawn FM", all nineteen tracks of "DS4EVER" are in the Top 40 of the same Apple Music charts. "Dawn FM", on the other hand, only placed 9th and 10th on the Top 10 list.
Meanwhile, the online spat that erupted between Gunna and Freddie Gibbs yesterday appears to have died down.
