Kanye West is facing a felony violence charge connected to a physical altercation that happened in Los Angeles earlier today.
The Los Angeles' Fox 11 reported on Thursday (Jan. 13) that Ye was involved in an argument that escalated into a violent confrontation around 3 a.m. outside Soho Wearhouse in downtown L.A.
One of Kanye's fans claims that the rapper was waiting in his car outside the establishment when he approached the rapper asking for an autograph.
It is claimed by the unidentified fan that words were exchanged between himself and Ye, who claims to have jumped out of his car and used certain profanities against him that were not divulged in the news report.
Yeezy then punched the fan in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
After that, Kanye fled the scene. The assaulted fan also claimed to have a video recording of the alleged assault of the rapper, to which he has shown the authorities.
According to Fox 11, officers were dispatched to the scene, and a police complaint was made in connection with the incident, which is still under investigation.
The report noted that battery is deemed a misdemeanor in Los Angeles, which means that if Ye had remained at the site, he would most likely not have been arrested but would have been charged.
Hours before the reported incident, TMZ obtained a video showing an irate Yeezy shouting to what seemed to be two individuals near his SUV.
Moments later, Kanye is seen berating one of the two people shouting, "Did y'all say that or not? Did y'all say that or not? Cuz that's what happened right fucking now."
Yesterday, Kanye was spotted with her new girlfriend Julia Fox, Madonna, Floyd Mayweather, and Antonio Brown in West Hollywood.
The revelation of Kanye's claimed battery comes only a few days after claims appeared online that he was planning a trip to Moscow, Russia, to meet with the country's president, Vladimir Putin. Kanye has not commented on the allegations.
According to reports, Ye would also organize Sunday Service activities and boost his commercial operations during his trip.
As of the moment, Ye's camp has not responded to any of the allegations and police investigations. Sources are also reaching out to the Los Angeles Police Department for more information about the battery charges.
